My First Weekend

I have made it and survived my first weekend of being an Alaska resident. The weather is beautiful here. High of 65 and sunny. WAY different than 105 and humid. I laugh when I think about being the coldest I have ever been in my life the day we got engaged in Alaska and the hottest I have ever been on our wedding day in Georgia. 

Justin and I got all of the necessary military routine paperwork done on his day off so I could begin to get settled and learn about everything the base has to offer. For those of you who keep up with Coast Guard Alaska, does this look familiar?

I did a little driving around and saw some beautiful sights while Justin was working. I was trying to take in the beautiful scenery before the hard winter hits!
