Year One=Success

"I still can't believe its been a year"... exact quote from Justin last night. I was thinking... it still hasn't sunk in? We have celebrated for the past two days... but really I don't think it sunk in for either of us until last night.

We spent Saturday and Sunday in New Orleans. We went and did some sightseeing, walking around town, and went to a delicious dinner on Bourbon Street.

Its VERY nice that we are surrounded by fresh seafood and delicious restaurant options.

Once we left dinner we explored and watched the interesting crowds partying it up on Bourbon Street. We stopped at one place that had an amazing band. The first full song heard them play was "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey. Ironically this was the last song our band played at the reception before we left. We met great people and had a blast.

Last night after getting unpacked, cleaning, and yard work, we opened up our cake to try. I was pleasantly surprised that it was moist and delicious. It did have a slight taste of flowers on a few bites since the guy at the country club froze the cake with the fresh flowers on top.

We reminisced about our wedding day and then sat down and watched the video.. We laughed at everyones flawless dance moves at the reception, the wonderful speeches at the rehearsal, and the beautiful ceremony. Wow.. .what a great day and a great year. We both agreed that we are extremely blessed to have found one another.  We experienced a lot during

our first year... two cities, a new house, a new dog, being away from one another, and everything in between. It has been a good year. I never would of thought we would be where we are now this time last year... can't wait to see what will be going on this time next year!
